Akkodis is seeking a Director, IT Processes & Operations for a full-time job opportunity with a direct client located in the New Castle DE area. The Director, IT Processes & Operations plans, directs, and manages department activities that support the enabling of IT functions, is key for improving effectiveness of IT functions, and impacting the value that IT delivers for the enterprise. The Director will be responsible for many initiatives to support our growth and technology roadmap.
Salary Range: $160,000. to $175,000. with bonus and a competitive benefit offering. This is not a C2C for fee option role.
Seeking candidates already local to the area are the role is hybrid onsite.
Director, IT Processes & Operations - job responsibilities include:
- Owning and directing budgeting processes for IT projects.
- Identifying opportunities to realize synergies and savings by rationalizing tools.
- Establishing and managing department budget.
- Leading project management competency for the function and providing direction to the specialized project managers within the IT staff.
- Participating in the project management practice enterprise wide.
- Initiating process improvement, developing, and implementing solution plans.
- Developing and improving department processes in keeping with industry trends and standards.
- Managing and directing technology purchasing.
- Managing key vendor relationships, realizing efficiencies by effective contracting and technology selection. Working closely with corporate purchasing.
- Collaborating with department leaders to improve overall department function.
- Will be called upon to lead other enabling areas such as Disaster Recovery Processes, Change Management and Operational Improvements.
- Participating in activities related to acquisitions and divestitures on behalf of IT. Participating in due diligence. Developing and supporting the IT plan related to acquisitions and divestitures through other IT functions.
- Owning and driving special projects
- Co-ordinating the Business Liaison activities and working closely with other business units.
- Liaison for IT for audit and associated activities.
Required skills and experience for the Director, IT Processes & Operations includes:
- 10-15 years of proven technology leadership experience
- Breadth of experience and understanding across different IT areas including application development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Strong project management experience and PMO experience.
- Experience interfacing and running quarterly meetings with C-level staff.
- Experience managing IT operations and service management.
- Experience planning, directing, and managing department activities that support enabling functions in IT.
- Proven experience owning and directing the budgeting process for IT functions and IT projects, establishing and managing department budgets.
- Experience lead project management competency and providing direction to specialized project managers on IT staff.
- IT Purchasing and contracting experience
- ITIL and PMP certifications preferred, as well as Agile experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Utilities experience is a plus.
- SAP experience is a plus.
